Your agent said it shipped. Did it?

Skills for Claude Code that check the live site after every deploy and stop the agent from guessing about production.

A layout-audit finding on a 390 pixel wide phone: the signup button sits 6 pixels from the screen edge, outlined in red
The button sits 6px from the edge of a phone screen. The server said 200.

Every one of these happened on a real project.

The push succeeded. Nothing deployed.A parallel session had switched branches. The agent reported "live in production" for commits that never reached main.

Every image returned 200. None was visible.A cached script threw on load, so the reveal class was never removed. curl was happy, the page was blank.

A test key ended up in a commit. The agent printed a .env value while debugging and then pasted it into a fixture.

The fix worked on desktop. On a phone the new button sat 6 pixels from the edge, half on top of a card.

Five free skills. MIT licensed.

Install once and Claude Code uses them whenever it deploys, commits or says something is done.

post-deploy-smoke

Opens every changed page on the live URL in Chromium and WebKit. Fails on errors, broken images and content that never appeared.

prove-its-live

Reads the commit your host is actually serving before anyone says "deployed". Pushed is not deployed, deployed is not live.

multi-session-git

Own worktree, explicit adds, and a check that the push really reached the remote.

secret-guard

Scans staged changes and command output for keys before they reach a commit or the chat.

permission-unblock

When a tool call is denied, finds which gate refused and writes the narrowest rule.

Pro catches what a quick look misses.

  • layout-audit

Crawls the live site at five widths and sweeps 360 to 1920 pixels in Chrome and Safari. Red-boxed screenshots for cut text, tiny tap targets, buttons off the edge or half on a card.

  • deploy-gate

A hook that blocks production deploys and pushes to main until your checks passed on this exact commit.

  • migrations-before-deploy

Detects pending database migrations before the code that needs them goes live.

  • rollback-ready

Records what is live before each deploy and prints the one command that brings it back.

  • bug-to-regression-test

Every production bug becomes a failing test first, so it cannot quietly return.

At 960 pixels wide the header's Start free trial button is pushed past the right edge, outlined in red The same header after the fix, with the button inside the screen
Broken only between 900 and 1000 pixels wide. The width sweep found it at 920, 960 and 1000, in Chrome and in Safari.

Questions

Does it only work with Vercel?

The browser checks work on any URL. Reading the deployed commit is scripted for Vercel and documented for Netlify, Fly and Render.

Is it made by Anthropic?

No. deploysmoke is independent skills for Claude Code and is not affiliated with Anthropic.

Does it work with other agents?

The skills are plain SKILL.md folders, so agents that read that format can use them. They are written and tested with Claude Code.

What do the browser checks need?

Node 18 or later and Playwright. The skill tells the agent how to install it the first time.
